Skill Review: Trivia Crack

Trivia Crack is a voice skill developed by Etermax. It is a trivia-based game where the players are expected to answer trivia questions from a range of different topics and categories. This single-player/multiplayer game has a cheerful and friendly mascot, Wiley to lead the users creatively. The players can start the game with Alexa or play along with a friend or a family member, where they can take turns to answer the questions from different subjects and categories. The categories include art, geography, entertainment, sports, science, and history.

In Trivia Crack, there are two different modes of gameplay: one being the classic mode, and the other being the challenge mode. Classic mode has a single round of 6 questions where if there are multiple players, each one gets the opportunity to answer 6 quiz questions. In the challenge mode, users are expected to answer as many questions as they can until they give one wrong answer. Those players who want to play beyond the first 13 questions will have to join the Trivia Crack Club. The “crack” annotation in the title of the game serves as a cue for its addictiveness. Additionally, this fun and knowledgeable gameplay spontaneously handles the conversation especially when the user is out of response. With all the positives aside, there were a few shortcomings that made it to the list. First one, the user has limited possibilities to play in the classical mode which is 6 questions a day. The second one being, at times, the skill fails to recognize the user’s responses.
